The Role of Honour in Tolerance to Intimate Partner Violence against Women in Sri Lanka

The current study aimed to examine the role of type honour endorsement (masculine, feminine, family, moral integrity) in tolerance intimate partner violence against women (IPVAW) Sri Lanka. Three hundred and sixty-two Lankan participants completed an online questionnaire. Results revealed that feminine masculine were positively associated with, integrity was negatively IPVAW. also showed men more likely tolerate IPVAW than women, endorse family men. results suggest specific typefacesnour play a predictive along with gender differences are line cultural gendered norms.
